Why donate to Canada World Youth?
- We are creating the next generation of global citizens: When our young volunteers come back from their CWY program, they have the tools they need to work in an increasingly diverse world and contribute actively to the improvement of their own communities.
- Our international educational programs have a remarkable impact on youth: Studies carried out in 2004 and 2005 demonstrate that our programs have a positive and lasting impact on young people by giving them the chance to expand their horizons, prepare for the future, and play an active role in society.
- CWY is internationally renowned: More than sixty countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe have chosen to run programs with us over the past thirty-five years. The Netherlands, Sweden, Great Britain, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have all designed programs inspired by CWY.
- The CWY model is innovative and unique: CWY is one of the few organizations in the world that offers a two-part program, with one phase in Canada and the other in another country. This is one of the most original aspects of the CWY model, which promotes true dialogue between partners in the South and in the North.
