Iris Almeida-Côté, Canada World Youth President and CEO, is a finalist for the "excellence au féminin" award of the Quebec Business Women's network, which honours Quebec women who distinguish themselves in the business world.

Canada World Youth (CWY) recently developed a five-year strategic plan which includes a focused initiative aimed at building a dynamic long-term relationship with its alumni.

Today is the first day of the International Youth Year, officially launched by the United Nations. To begin this important year, Iris Almeida-Côté, President and CEO of CWY, is making a presentation at the École d'été of the Institut du Nouveau Monde.

In association with Canada World Youth, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Canada and the Sauvé Foundation, Comtribute Inc. will host a media breakfast on July 20^th, at the Sauvé House to unveil a new internet tool that will change the way non-profits fundraise.

Canada World Youth and the Sauvé Scholars Program have announced a partnership that will provide both organizations access to wider networks, resources and information on youth-related issues.

Starting on Saturday April 24, 2010, Jamie Rooney and Ben Morrison, two 19 year-old Canadians, will undertake a three-month cross-country bicycle tour in an effort to raise funds for Canada World Youth and development projects in Mozambique, Africa.

Three Canada World Youth alumni have been recognized during the celebrations surrounding the 2010 International Development Week, which took place from February 7th to 13th,  across Canada.

On January 12th, 2010, Port-au-Prince, Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that shook the small island nation to its very foundation. The destruction is unthinkable, the loss, unspeakable.

As a part of Canada World Youth's continuous efforts to reach out to Canadian youth and inspire them to apply for an international education program, Canada World Youth (CWY) organized the 2009 "Flash Mob" Recruitment Tour, a five-day, nine-city tour from Ontario to Nova Scotia, from December 1 to 5, 2009.
